Hi I'm Mariah

I grew up in Riverton Utah. I am a professional clogger and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My passion is dance. Just turn on some music and give me a dance floor. I love swing, waltz, samba, tango, hip hop, and just crazy freestylin! But my favorite type of dance is clogging. Many people don't know what clogging is so I will explain. Clogging is kind of like tap dance except the shoes are slightly different and different genres of dance are often added in like hip hop or jazz. I used to dance on a professional clogging team and helped teach the younger classes. We traveled to neighboring states for competitions as well as those in my hometown area. After I graduated high school, dance took a back seat. I attended school at Utah Valley University and piled on the credits so I could get as much done as soon as possible. I finished 3 semesters and am 2 years away from my bachelors in elementary education. Some random facts about me is I love to garden. It is one of my families favorite pass times. We spend hours working together in our half acre garden. A couple months ago I decided to put this all on the back burner and devote 18 months of my life in service of the Lord. I have been called to the Gilbert, Arizona mission and am thrilled to meet the people I will be serving!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church has given me direction in coming closer to my Savior. I feel so much peace and joy in living this gospel. I can see the happiness it has brought into my life as well as into the life of my family. The church provides principles that help a family function the way Heavenly Father intended them to function. There is a loving peace and joy in my home. This Gospel has provided me a way to have relief from sin and hope that I can be made better through the atonement of Christ.

How I live my faith

As I mentioned in my previous paragraph, I have decided to serve a full time mission, which for sister, is 18 months. I have given up a lot of opportunities and have sacrificed time with my family and friends to be serving the Lord. I want others to have the happiness I have in my life and I know that the message of the Gospel is the only way they can experience this everlasting joy. My goal is to bring others unto the Savior so that they can feel of His redeeming love. I am exercising my faith that the Lord will be with me as I am on His errand.
