Hi I'm Jen Anderson

I play volleyball on my varsity high school team. I attend early morning seminary and enjoy volunteering at elementary schools.

About Me

I'm Jen, I have been a member of the church all my life and most of my time is spent playing volleyball. I use to dance and compete in gymanstics but switched to volleyball when i was twelve years old. I work as a lifeguard in the summer and during the school year i volunteer at an elementary school working with 3rd graders. I am currently a senior in high school and I am looking at going to university to become either a physical or recreational therapist. I go to Mexico every year with my stake and do a service project. I love dogs, food, and hanging out with my friends! :) I have hiked the Grand Canyon with my family and friends twice. My family also likes to go out to the lake a lot to tube and wake board. Most of my family lives in Canada so I visit there every year and they have the best candy! :) The most important things to me are my family, sports, the church, and my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in a Mormon family and the young women's program has helped me through all my struggles. Whenever i have a difficult decision to make, i am able to talk to my leaders and I pray about it. It has taught me the values I need to have in order to keep me going on the right path. Being a member of the church has taught me the values that help me make good choices at school. I know that if I continue to live the gospel in my life, then i will return to my Heavenly Father. I am so happy to be a member of the church and I don't know where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I have been called as a young woman's leader where I organize activities and teach lessons. I attend early morning seminary every day and I am currently the class president. I have done many service projects with my youth group where we have painted houses, cleaned up parks, and made humanitarian kits. I attend my chruch meetings on Sundays and I think it is really helpful. I dress modestly, date in groups, have clean language, and avoid drugs and alcohol; these standards help me everyday because they keep me clean, uplifted and healthy.
