Hi I'm Jordi

I was born and raised in the LDS Church. I have lived in Singapore and Malaysia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As I said in my introduction, I'm studying Communication and Chinese. I'm a father of one, and my wife is going to have our second child in November. I enjoy working on different video projects. A new hobby I am developing is photography. I'm learning to use Photoshop and really enjoying it. My wife already graduated, but she is also learning Photoshop with me. She loves it too. We have a sweet little son, and having him was one of the best decisions we ever made.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS Church, but don't let that fool you. I've had to work to receive my own answers that the Church is true. I wasn't brainwashed into it, and I have continual experiences through my life that confirm my knowledge of the truth. The windows of heaven are open to anyone who is seeking for truth. If you sincerely want to know something, and it is right, God will answer your prayers and give you the knowledge you seek.

How I live my faith

My current church responsibilities include conducting and leading the music in the nursery (with the children). It's only 15 minutes each Sunday, but it's a great experience seeing the children interact and get excited about singing (although since most of the children are under 2 years old, it's sometimes hard to keep their attention for very long). I sing in our church choir. It's a great opportunity to help support the choir director, and help bring additional volume to the choir. Some people might find it strange that we have 3 hours of church each Sunday, but it would feel weird to me to not attend all 3 hours of church. Some Sundays, there are also other meetings in the evening. Twice a year, we have what is called General Conference, where we hear the words of the Prophet and Apostles. General Conference has 5 two-hour sessions over one weekend. That adds up to 10 hours of church in one weekend, but it's a very special experience that is a great blessing in my life.
