Hi I'm Brenda

I am a wife, a mom and a grandmother . I am a bookkeeper And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a mom to 3 adopted children (and 1 foster child), I have been blessed to be a mother when I thought I never would have that opportunity. I was an Office Manager & receptionist for 22 years and now I am a bookkeeper and enjoy my job-very much! I love traveling with my husband. We have visited 12 different LDS Temples in 8 different states-these buildings are so beautiful. My hobbies include-shopping for great deals, decorating our home on a budget and spending time with our children & grandkids.

Why I am a Mormon

While growing up, I attended many different churches. My parents were Catholic and I attended the Catholic church off and on for 16 years. In my junior year of high school, a co-worker asked me out on a date. He wanted me to meet his family before we left on our date. It was the beginning to why I am a Mormon. His family was awesome. I LOVED being in their home. I knew instantly they were different. Different in a good way. They slowly taught me about the Gospel of Jesus Christ-by their example. Even though that event happened over 38 years ago...it put me on a path to living a good, moral and honest life.

How I live my faith

Living and following the commandments and trying to do the best that I can each day, helps me during life's many trials (and of course I have had my share-like everyone else). I have worked with the youth (ages 12-18) in our church and now work with the little children. Each time I am with these little ones, I am reminded how we are each a Child of God. He loves each of us-even when we make a mistake. I teach the little children about repentance.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Brenda
Learning about "eternal life" these past 30 plus years as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has taught me not to worry about DEATH. Everyone who is born will eventually die. There is so much more after our earthly life. I am grateful for the scriptures that teach me why I am here and where I am going. As a child, death seemed so FINAL. It frightened me to think of death. Now through study, lessons, prayer and faith I have come to understand we all have a purpose on earth. I now understand that to live with God again, it is important to be obedient to the laws and commandments. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ...so much to learn....so little time! Show more Show less
