Hi I'm Trent

I'm from Heber City Utah. I have a love for baseball, golf, and wakeboarding. I wanna learn to play guitar, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. I like going to the gym and being active. I was diagnosed with Ulserative Colitis at age 12 and during the summer of my 18th birthday, I had surgery to have the effected area removed. Now I'm healthy as can be!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon? What kind of silly question is that? Haha, I'm Mormon because it makes me happy and I KNOW that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ. I was born into the church, and I'm so glad that I was. I was born into a family with good parents that have taught me the ways of the Lord. I've been tremendously blessed. I learned for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ is true through sincere prayer and study, as well as living in line with the church's teachings, although I'm not perfect. I've made mistakes and I know that through Christ and his atonement, we can be forgiven. I had to diligently read the Book of Mormon and pray sincerely. I want to invite everyone to read the Book of Mormon, and ask our Heavenly Father through humble prayer, if the Book of Mormon is true, and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's Kingdom on the earth today. I know that God will answer if you do these things. He is our Father in Heaven, and he loves us so much. He has given us a prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and delivers God's word to us. I know that if we listen, and act upon the words of God, given to us by his prophets, by President Thomas S. Monson, our lives will be blessed so much that we will not have room enough to receive all of the blessing!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through trying to be like Jesus. I'm definetly not perfect, infact I probably just spelled definetly wrong, but through the atonement of Christ, I can be forgive of my sins and imperfections! I live my faith one day at a time; every day I'm faced with new challenges that send me to look to my Father in Heaven for strength and guidance through prayer. I've found that the most effective way for me to be like Jesus is to follow the words of both the prophets of old, and the prophets of modern day.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Trent
Serving a mission is a privilege. The Lord has given me so much in my life already. It's the least I can do for him is to give him 2 years of my life to help build up his kindgom. I'm so greatful that I have the opportunity to serve a mission. The answer to that question is no, we are not required to serve a mission, but it is encouraged, and it is an experience that will impact the rest of your life. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Trent
Justice must be fulfilled, for God is a Just God. However, there has also been a way for Mercy to be fulfilled through the Savior, Jesus Christ. It is through and only through the grace of Christ that we can be saved. The misunderstanding that often times arises is that Mormons also put a large emphasis on work, that it might seem that we believe that we are saved through our works. But this is not true. We are saved by Grace. We believe that in order to access the Grace of Christ, we must do our best to follow his example, live his gospel, and do as he would do. We believe that it is through our works that we show our love and our devotion to our God and to our Savior, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" - John 14:15. Through our works, we access Christs saving Grace and only then are the laws of Justice and Mercy both satisfied and fulfilled. Show more Show less
