Hi I'm Barry

I'm a Firefighter, Paramedic, Archery business owner, hunter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been in the healthcare field since I was a Junior volunteer at a local hospital. I enjoyed emergency medicine and helping those in need so much, I became a firefighter and a paramedic. Since I get to help others, I feel a sense of worth in my life, especialy when I can ease pain. I enjoy archery and started my own archery business and hope it helps the youth learn a new and fun skill. I am married, twenty plus years, plenty of kids and grandkids whom I love to spoil. Lived in Arizona all my life, minus a couple years in Alaska, where I would love to retire...or at least go hunting there from time to time.

Why I am a Mormon

It just makes sense to me, that when Jesus set up HIS Church with Prophets and Apostles, that the same organization would always remain as such. Yes, I have always been a 'Mormon', but you know that there comes that time in your teens, where you just don't believe everything that Mom and Dad are telling you...and you need to find things out on your own. I found out...and I back that foundation up with constant prayer to a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am an assistant scout master for our Ward. I've done this, and have been a Scout Master in my younger years. It's a great way to interact with the youth and other scouters to teach good things to our future leaders. As an outdoor enthusiast, I teach Archery, Wilderness first-aid, CERT, CPR and more, I live and like the motto of being 'prepared'. I have used these skills in both church and other venues when people are sick or otherwise injured. It makes me a better man to be able to provide care and it keeps me motivated to want to go the extra mile for them.
