Hi I'm Landon

I was born and raised in Mexico. I'm an engineer, motocross junkie, gun enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a small farming community in northern Mexico. I moved to the United States when I was 18 to work and go to school; I've lived here ever since. I go back to visit the homeland every chance I get, but I'm also extremely grateful to be a part of a country as great as the USA. I love guns. I firmly believe in the right to bear arms. I believe people should be able to protect their life, family, property, and freedom. I love motocross. It is one of the most addicting sports I have ever participated in. It's also a good way to gain a mechanical skill set. I love football. I played in high school for one of my all time heroes, an ex-US Marine and WWII veteran, who saw football not as a game but as a means to turn boys into men. He always said that since we weren't going to be bigger or stronger than the opposition, we'd be tougher and in better shape. The fourth quarter was our quarter. A few years ago I was lucky enough to meet a beautiful young lady who agreed to be my wife. She has been my best friend ever since. Life is incredibly satisfying and comfortable when you get to share it with your best friend. She is very supportive of everything I do and I love her even more for that.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that it's true. I was raised in the Church, but didn't always know if it was true. It wasn't until I studied the Book of Mormon on my own, and prayed to know that it was true that I received my own confirmation that it is the truth. Once I knew that the Book of Mormon was true, the rest fell into place. I know that Joseph Smith was inspired and called of God to restore critical knowledge and authority in our time. I know that God's prophets still walk the earth, teaching and calling the world to repentance. It makes perfect sense to me that God's patterns, as recorded in the Old and New Testament, would continue in our day. I'm also a Mormon because of the kind of person I am when I live by the teachings of Jesus and his prophets. I'm a Mormon because I love knowing that I can be together with my wife and our future family even after we die.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to obey God's commandments. My week is incomplete if I miss the opportunity to attend Sunday services. My wife and I also try to attend the temple on a weekly basis. This has been one of the biggest blessings in our marriage. Having been sealed together in the temple was the greatest blessing of our lives and we really enjoy going back as often as possible.
