Hi I'm Alexia

I am a mother of two and I opened my own photography studio. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho and moved to California when I was in High School. I served a mission, taught Kindergarten and when I found out I was pregnant with my first child I quite work to stay at home to raise my kids. My God and my family are my top priority. I have always been creative and LOVE taking pictures. Over time I have cultivated this talent and have opened my own Photography studio, so that my husband can go back to school. I love sports, I love to read, especially classical literature, and I LOVE teaching and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel really blessed to have been born to a family that has the gospel of Jesus Christ. My mother and her side of the family have been members for years. My biological father and his side of the family are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day saints. I remember as a child feeling very deeply that my Heavenly Father loved me and that everything in my life was for my benefit. Life was not easy, there are a lot of trials along the way. However I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day saints because it is the only place I have ever felt I have received the support and the tools I needed to navigate through life. The church has all the teachings and ordinances and opportunities that have allowed me to grow spiritually and as a woman. I owe everything I am today to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I gained a testimony at a very young age of living Prophets. I remember listening to President Gordon B. Hinckley and having a such a love and respect for him. I knew he talked and walked with God, and that he loved the church and people. I have felt the spirit whisper of the truthfulness of Joseph Smiths calling to restore the Lords church and the gospel in it's fullness on the earth. I have seen how the gospel has changed the lives of many for good while serving a mission and in daily life. I have felt the Lord lead me, and I know he loves me and knows me personally. I am a Mormon because that is who I am. I have chosen to live my life according to the instruction the Lord has given me, and I can not imagine living any other way. The Church of Jesus Christ has given me everything I need to stay true to the commandments of God and to succeed in this life, and progress in the next.

How I live my faith

I serve the children as a second counselor in the presidency of our children s Primary. Primary is a place where children are taught about our Savior and his gospel. I also look for opportunities to serve other people around me by visiting with them, donating time and items that may be needed, and being a friend in general. I study my scriptures and I strive to live by what I read every day.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Alexia
For me, the better question is what doesn't tell me there is a God! Everything I am surrounded by speaks of a higher being to me. Every time I venture into nature, with the birth of each of my children, with the way life just seems to come together when it all feels impossible. How could I not know God is there and that he loves me. Show more Show less
