Hi I'm Josh

I love playing Rugby, cooking, disk golfing, and being a Missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Iowa Des Moines mission, and I love it. There is nothing better than sharing the Gospel and introducing them to Jesus Christ and seeing their eyes light up. I love doing anything athletic, especially playing football and rugby! I love to cook, and I'm always up for a good game of rugby.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. Another reason why I am a Mormon is because of the fact that we have a living Prophet and Apostles on the earth today. It just makes sense to me that God has always spoken through a Prophet and Apostles to lead and guide His church. The fact that we know that God has again called a Prophet to the Earth is huge for me, and I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God. One of my favorite things and a huge testimony builder for me is the Plan of Salvation. Having that knowledge and knowing that I'll be able to see my friends and loved ones who have passed on, brings a great comfort to my life. I also love the Book of Mormon, and I have received that confirmation that it is a true book of scripture and I always start my day by reading it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching and sharing the gospel. I currently am a missionary, and I have always loved teaching. I look forward to every opportunity that I can to help share my knowledge and experiences with others. Going to church on Sundays is a total Spiritual reboost for me for the week. There are so many distractions that are going on around us in the world every day, and attending church for me gives me the opportunity to take some time to really focus on the atonement and what my Savior, Jesus Christ, has done for me. I am an example to everyone around me, and I let them know through my words and actions that I am proud to be a Mormon!

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Josh
When missionaries visit your home, they talk about how when Jesus Christ was on the Earth he set up His church, and because of various circumstances it was lost, but then in 1820 it was able to be restored again by another prophet named Joseph Smith. The missionaries teach you the basic things that you need to learn and develop while you are here on earth; Faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, and about the Gift of the Holy Ghost. These are all things that help us come closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
