Hi I'm Ethan

I love the sunshine. I love to make friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and I love to go on road trips and eat out of gas stations. I'm always up for a random adventure! My guitar is my best friend. I believe this life would be pointless without the gift of music. The gym is a close second. I believe that dogs are a man's best friend and that everyone should have at least 3. A good video game to play with a friend is always fun. My family and friends are the entire reason for my existance. I'm single now, but I plan to have a wife and kids in a few years. I can't decide between teaching and the medical field as a career.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I'm a Mormon is simple: I was born that way! Having been raised in the church has been a huge blessing in my life because I didn't have to look far to find the truth. My entire youth I questioned the church and I always experimented with prayer and other fundamental principles of Christ's Gospel. My mind was never completely sure but I always wanted it to be true. My parents, brothers who both served missions, and fellowship in the congregation were huge examples to me of how to live a Christ-like life and really truly trust in the Lord. I have a testimony because I trusted in the Lord and took his challenge and promise that he gives us in the Bible: James 1:5 "If any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God...". This is the best thing I could have done; the best thing anyone could ever do infact! As I prayed one night to feel my Savior's love to confirm my choice to stay active in His church, a small miracle happened in my life. I felt an overshadowing warmth and a feeling of peace that could only come from the Savior himself. I love Jesus Christ. I will forever be in His debt for his grace and mercy. I will always live His Gospel, and I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I follow Christ's example and his admonitions to us in trying to live my faith. I follow the 5 basic principles that Christ himself taught in His ministry: faith, repentance, baptism by immersion, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. These are the foundations of my testimony in the Savior. In this church everyone is asked to serve and volunteer to progress the Lord's work and glory in these latter days. I do this showing others by my example and my personal core-stories about how they too can recieve a spiritual witness of the truthfulness and divinity of this church. I have a very strong desire to do this the rest of my life. Often times it is hard to understand how to apply the scriptures and Christ's doctrine to our lives in this day, but listening to modern prophets and apostles has helped me to find the little things in my faith that make all of the difference. I study the scriptures every morning to help prepare me better for the day. I believe that living a healthy life physically is the best way we can cherish the bodies that God has given us. If I start to deviate from the things that I know will bring me happiness, then I simply sing hymns to direct my attention again to the Lord and the bigger goals I have in mind for my own and others spiritual progression. My attitude in my faith is everything.
