Hi I'm Sky Hunt
I am 21 years old and have lived in Utah my whole life. I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints and my parents were too. All of my family members are active members in the church and we are very close as a family. On May 16, 2013 I married and was sealed to my best friend in the Salt Lake City temple. I am a runner and love to exercise and do all kinds of outdoor activities. I love adventure and the beautiful outdoors. I love the life I live and am as happy as a person could be!
Even though I was born into a family that was already strong in the church, I definitely made my own decisions when it came to being a part of Jesus Christ's church. I have always known the church was true, even as a little girl. At a young age I started praying to my Heavenly Father and seeing all of his little miracles he has given me in my life. I loved going to church because I always was happy there. I seemed to just understand the things I was being taught and it all made sense, which I know was because of the help of the Holy Ghost. The spirit I feel while reading the Book of Mormon, praying, going to church, bearing my testimony or sharing the gospel with others is undeniable. The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings a happiness into my life that I cannot explain, but is noticeable and I pray that everyone will be able to feel that happiness that I feel! The church is true and Christ lives!
We are all brothers and sisters, sons and daughters of our heavenly father. Just like an earthly family looks after one another and strengthens each other, Mormon's go on missions to reach out to our brothers and sisters that have been led astray or don't even know about the gospel and our Father and Brother in heaven. Each member of the church knows the joy the church, and the understanding of "the bigger picture," brings to our lives and we want to share that joy and happiness with everyone. It is the mission of everyone in the church to bring our brothers and sisters back to Christ and ultimately to live with our Father in Heaven again.
Prayer is my direct phone line to my Heavenly Father. Just like my earthly father, I want to talk to my Father in Heaven about my day, concerns, sorrows, experiences, etc. He wants to hear from us and we always have him to talk to. I know that he is listening and cares about every word that I am saying to him. He brings a comfort that cannot be found anywhere else and will heal your broken heart. There are many times where I have been able to talk to him about any problems I may be having and he will comfort me and give me answers right as I am praying. Some answers take time, but they are ALWAYS answered. He is always there.
I live my faith mainly through being an example and living the teachings I have been taught my whole life. Also by doing the small things such as prayer, scripture study, attending church and visiting the temple often.
