Hi I'm Julie Lyn Beck

I grew up in Rancho Cucamonga. I have lived here most of my life. I am a Wife, Mother and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Wife and Mother of 5. I helped put my husband through school. We have been married for 24 years. Most of that time we have lived in the same community. I love watching my children grow and experience life. I enjoy dirt biking riding, water skiing, the beach, and snow skiing. I enjoy painting and creating things for our home. My favorite things are my family, To relax I enjoy the beach and watching I love Lucy episodes. I am quiet and shy around people I don't know. I didn't finish college because of putting my husband thorugh school and children coming to us. I sometimes feel that is a little scary considering the economic times we are in. But I do feel fortunate to be home and raise my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church and have always had it in my life. My mother was rasied in the church, but my Father was a convert. He joined the church when he was 18, then served a Mission at 19. I feel very fortunate that I was born and raised in the church. I have always had it's guidance in my life. And now being a Mother of 4 boys and 1 girl, I am so glad that I have the church to help me teach and guide my children through life. I love the examples they have in there life because of the church. Being a member gives you help in ways that others don't always have. You have a community of people to help and set examples. I feel so blessed to have always been influenced by those good people aoround me. The world has a clouded view of family and of the things that are important. Having the Gospel of Jesus Christ in your life makes things clear. Family is important, service is important, helping those around you is important. The church teaches us to do and be good to all people and love all. We learn these things through studing the scriptures and learning from the example Jesus Christ our Savior. His loving example helps us love those around us and serve all.I know that this church is the one true church. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior. That he lived on this earth and died on the cross. I know that he suffered willingly for us all. I know that his gospel was restored to this earth through a young boy of 14. I Know that Joseph Smith restored this beautiful gospel. I know that he saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living Prophet on this earth today, Thomas S Monson. That he guides and directs this church through the Savior. I am blessed every day through being a member of this church. I am blessed and know of the value of the standards and commandments we are given. I am so very Thankful for my membership.

How I live my faith

I have served in many areas of the church. Most of them teaching. I love being a Sunday School teacher. I love teaching the gospel to the youth of the church. The programs of the church are in place to strengthen family. They are designed to help us through this life. I have been given opportunity to serve in the community through the service we give as members. Right now many conversions have come about missionary service. This is due to friends and neighbors asking about my children. This brings to light that I have boys serving missions. Many times people ask many questions mostly why? and How I can send boys so far away without contact for 2 years. Then this opens the door to express the love we have for the Savior and the faith and trust we have in the Lord to send our boys. Living the gospel is a choice but for me its the only choice. I am happy and content with life. I enjoy my family and we enjoy knowing that because of this beautiful gospel we can be together forever. Sending our Boys on Missions is one of the hardest things we do as parents but it is also the Best thing. I have comfort in the knowledge that my boys are serving the people the come in contact with. They grow to love these people because of the gospel. Living the gospel is the only way I know how to live. I know that because of my faith the Lord will always be there. Not that it will be easy, just that it will be worth it. I am so grateful for all the things that are in place to help us be happy and learn to love as Jesus Christ did. Watching the world try to figure things out is painful to watch at times. I know that if they accept the gospel and follow the commandments. Life will make sense and they will find true happiness. I love my Savior and have faith that he is always there for me and my family.
