Hi I'm Ethan

I love photos, I love Christ, And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I capture God's creations via photos. I love the outdoors, rafting, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, and anything else that give you a thrill.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be Mormon because I understand that Christ's Atonement enables me to become like him. I was raised in the church, but wasn't really converted to Christ until I too read and sincerely prayed about the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is true. It contains another testimony of Christ. When read side by side with the Bible, simple truth is known. There is a promise contained in the book that once I read it, I knew if I ever wanted to know it was true, I would have to do what it said. "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." (Moroni 10: 4-5) I challenge you to do the same.

How I live my faith

I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ by doing the best I can to keep his commandment. Although I am far from perfect I know that my Savior loves me. I try to show my love for Him the best way I know how, by keeping His commandment. (John 15:14) When we live the commandment we are blessed, when we make mistakes, there is always Christ, who steps in and helps you to over come your weaknesses.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Ethan
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is a gift that when used properly changes us into people who we, and the Savior, want us to be. Everyone makes mistakes, but the Atonement is there to make right what wrong we have done. As a huge fan of river rafting I often like to draw parallels to the river. The river: is our life, if we go with the flow, we will be cold, wet and who knows where we may end up. The Raft: is the church, the organization of the church is here to keep us afloat. Paddles/Oars: is the Atonement, we are given tools that will power us though life's waves. The Guide: is our Savior, without a proper guide all the above would be useless, because we would have no way to properly use them. I know that when we rely on the Savior that we will make it though even the biggest waves life has to offer us, We might even have a little fun on the way. Show more Show less
