Hi I'm Stacy

I love to run, bike, ski, hike, rock climb, play soccer, sail, snowboard, and read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've had a big year so far. I was recently married to my wonderful husband, our months since marriage have been the happiest that I've known. I also graduated this year with a degree in mathematics and an emphasis in actuarial science. I then got a new job teaching math at a technical college in my area. I grew up with three big brothers who taught me to love sports. Having moved several times I've come close to my family members because I know that they are constants in my life, but I've also learned to love meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a scripture in the bible, John 7 : 17, "If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself." This means that if we are not sure a principle is true, we can try it out and then we will know if it is of God. This is why I am a Mormon, because I've tried the principles that I've been taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I know that living those principles brings more happiness and satisfaction than anything else. When I read the Book of Mormon, I know the doctrine taught there is from God, when I attend my church meetings I know the doctrine taught there is also from God, when I attend the temple or give service or accomplish other things that our Heavenly Father has asked us to do then the value of those things are made clear to me. In this way the scripture has been fulfilled many times as I've tried to know what is right, that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Everyone in the church fills an important role. My last calling, or role in the ward, was to be a teacher, I really enjoyed teaching the other women in my ward. I believe that the opportunity to teach was a huge blessing because it pushed me to study and learn more than I would have. With every calling that I've filled, I believe it has done more good for me than the service I was able to provide.
