Hi I'm Alli

I'm a wife, mother, and so much more. I even use to be a corrections officer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother to 3 handsome step sons, and a little boy/girl soon to join our family! I'm 23 years old and went to college for culinary arts and marriage/family relations. However I must admit I have used neither as I was a corrections officer before becoming a stay at home mom. I enjoy reading when I have down time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know the gospel of Christ to be true. I have felt the love and tender mercies in my life. I was a teenager, who like many, didn't listen to what I had been taught. It's not something I speak of lightly or share for sympathy, but to share of how and why I am Mormon. I also share this knowing now I did no wrong, and the wrong was done unto me. I was 17 and raped a week before I was to leave for college. This changed my life forever. Having the gospel in my life was the greatest strength I had as I left home to move to the middle of nowhere, where I knew no one. This was half welcomed as I wanted nothing to do with my past life now, but it was also heartbreaking as I watched my family drive away and I was there to deal with what had happened on my own. However I must say I knew then, I know now, and I will continue to know forever, I was NOT alone and I never will be. My Heavenly Father knows me and is always there for me. As I sought out help from professionals and turned to the Lord as well for guidance my testimony was made stronger. As I learned of the Atonement and the sacrifice my Savior made on my behalf I felt an overwhelming love and peace I had never known before. I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but it wasn't until I gained my testimony for myself of who I am, where I came from, and where I am going did I fully understand the gospel and the plan our Father in Heaven has for each of us. He loves us, and He sent His only begotten son to live and die for us so we may all return to live with Them someday. I know the gospel is true, I know there is a living prophet on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ along with the Bible, together they teach us many truths. My testimony is what saved me and got me through the rough times in life, and it will do so as it grows with each day. I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father who loves me and I love Him!

How I live my faith

Living my life in a pleasing manner for my Heavenly Father and Savior is important to me for I am in debt for all I have been given and will receive in years to come. To help show my gratitude to Them I live my life in Their services. I teach Sunday school to the youth in our branch along with the women's organization of the church. Also I strive to do my visiting teaching and reach out to others who I see might be struggling or just need a loving friend. I respect those in leadership positions where the Lord has placed them. I also support my husband in his Priesthood callings. In doing so my family and myself have been blessed with much. I try to be an example of Christ in all that I do for others to see. I love the Lord very much and it is the least I can do to share my faith and His gospel with others.
