Hi I'm Angie

I’m a mom, a wife and a grad student and I’m a mormon

About Me

I've been married for over 22 years to my eternal sweetheart and I have 3 terrific children. Recently I decided to return to school to pursue a master’s degree in Educational Psychology. It’s exciting and a little intimidating to be doing homework and sharing my report card with my kids! I work at our local college and love spending time with the fabulous students there. Being a student myself helps me empathize with the work load and frustrations many of my students face every day!

Why I am a Mormon

I am fortunate to have parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, who were born into this church. My own testimony is built on a foundation of faith and family. I learn so much about my Heavenly Father’s love for me when I spend time with my own family. His infinite ability to care for his children, and wrap his arms of love and comfort around them is available to everyone. I know we are all God’s children. I am so grateful to know that I will always be able to enjoy the love of my eternal family.

How I live my faith

As a daughter of our Father in Heaven I live each day treating others with kindness, fairness and understanding. This life is hard. Satan wants us to be discouraged, depressed, anxious, and frustrated. If I can remember that everyone I interact with is my literal Heavenly sibling I am more loving, patient, and sensitive both with myself, and with others. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me.” Through faith in Christ my Savior, and my loving Heavenly Father, I am able to show love to others the way I love each member of my family.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Angie
We learn so much about our Heavenly family from our associations with our own families. Being married and raising children helps me develop greater patience, understanding, and love. Learning these virtues helps me have faith in a loving Heavenly Father full of patience, understanding, and love for me. As a parent I can understand how much our Heavenly Father loves us, his children, and wants us to return to live with him. Show more Show less
