Hi I'm Mindy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I suppose I have had many roles thus far in life and will yet hopefully fulfill more, but most importantly I’m trying to be a disciple of Christ and the best mom and wife that my family deserves.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into this faith and taught truth since I can remember. My parents are incredibly faithful and the best examples of how to try and be dedicated servants of Jesus Christ. I’ve always had a testimony since I was little but I reached a turning point when I was 16 years old. My family had the chance to be in the Hill Cumorah Pageant and there was a scene when we acted out when the resurrected Savior descends from the heavens to show the people on the American continent that He had fulfilled all that He had promised He would and that He lives. As a cast we were supposed to portray those who believed, those who were ashamed to be in His presence, those who recognized Him and those who saw Him as a stranger. I know it was just a play, but as we rehearsed the scene I looked around and saw a variety of emotions on my fellow cast members faces and it made me think, “Would I have recognized Him if I had been there?” I realized I had a fantastic relationship with my Heavenly Father because I could pray to Him anytime but that I felt somewhat abstract in my relationship with the Savior and didn’t know Him as I felt I should. From that point I made it a goal to study His life and really come to know Him as my personal Savior. The following years after that changed my life in how I viewed Him and how I came to need Him. I know He lives and knows me well, better than I know myself. I know He loves me and that He knows that I love Him and that it’s His greatest hope that we can return back to our Heavenly Father after this life.

How I live my faith

I try to be a decent human being, some days go better than others, but that’s why we’re here, to try and learn to be like Jesus. I’m trying to have my three small kids feel of the Savior’s love and recognize His hand in their lives and the beautiful world around them. I try to have 140 kids in our Primary know how much Heavenly Father and Jesus love them and know that they are important. Not just important but incredibly important and children of God with a divine heritage. I'm trying to teach them that as we make right choices and follow the commandments it makes life easier and happier. I’m trying to live my life by following the gospel of Jesus Christ and plan on finding as much joy as I can along the journey. I know our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and that’s what living my faith everyday does for me. It makes me happy.
