Hi I'm Julie

I love being a wife, a mother, a daughter, an aunt, and a friend and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 35 year old mother of 2 and have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 15 years. We have an 11 year old daughter and a 7 year old boy. My husband is an Enrolled Agent and does personal income taxes for a Big 4 company. I have a back ground in Child Development and taught Preschool for many years. I currently stay home with my children and spend my time volunteering at their school, substituting at a near by Preschool, stay busy working with the youth in my church calling, and doing all of the other "mom" things that keep me running all day. I love to read, do digital scrapbooking, spend time outdoors, travel, watch movies, and be with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and was baptized when I was 8 years old. I followed the example of those around me as I grew up. As I grew older, I wanted to know for myself if the Gospel was true. My testimony didn't come all at once, but as I had experiences in my life, I knew that what was taught to me was true. I had an experience with the Holy Ghost when I was quite young that I can never deny and have had many since. Everything that the Gospel teaches is good. The commandments protect me and give me more choices in my life. I know that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and that he restored the true Gospel on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is the Word of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living Prophet that is here to lead and guide me. How incredible it is to have the knowledge of the Gospel and to know the plan of salvation and know that after I die, I can live with my family again in the presence of God and our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I pray daily, read my scriptures daily, I try to be honest, I try to be kind, and I do my best in being a good wife and mother. I have a calling in the Church working with the youth. I try to be a good example to them and a friend to them. We have a great time doing different activities. Some are service oriented, some are more spiritual, and some are just plain fun! I go to Church every Sunday and teach Gospel lessons each week. This calling has strengthened me greatly and I know this is where I am supposed to be right now.
