Hi I'm Bill Richards

I'm from California. I play most sports, I'm a nerd, I sing, dance, and act. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California, but moved to Utah when I was 2. I lived there for a few years of my life. I have 3 older siblings and 1 younger. We are all boys except the second oldest is a girl. I was born into the church, and I am so grateful for that. My family and I have since moved back to San Clemente California, though my sister is still living in Utah with her little family, and the brother just older than me is going to school there. I am Currently living in Canada for the next couple years, I will be staying in the northern region of Alberta, staying mostly in Edmonton and the surrounding area. I enjoy playing almost every sport, but I am best at either lacross, or swimming. I love music! I play trombone, and jazz trombone would have to be one of my favorite things, though I can also play any brass instrument, and am currently working on learning woodwinds. I also love to sing, I sing in choir, and in an a'cappella group that I started, and on top of all that I love acting. I would say that I am a pretty normal person, but then I would probably be lying, because I am a bit of a goof ball, but I think that just shows the fact that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is diverse, and that our beliefs don't make us into some sort of cookie cutter people, but we all have our own personalities.

Why I am a Mormon

It's true, there is no way that it is not true, and I have received witness from the Holy Ghost that it is true. I know that Jesus is our savior and through him we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. I know that the priesthood is the power to act in God's name on earth, and was restored in these last days through Joseph Smith. I know God calls the weak, but makes them strong to accomplish His will. The reason I'm a Mormon is because I've tried it, and when taking it to the source (praying), I've received answer time, and time again. I cannot deny it. Being a Mormon has helped me in so many ways that I cannot ever adequately express my gratitude for it. To know what I'm talking about, you need to live it. Embrace it for all you are worth. You will find, as many have, that living the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ will bring you more joy than anything else you can do.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures and pray everyday. I try to follow the council provided by the leaders of the church. I'm lucky to have a great support system in my family, and other members in my stake. I try to be a missionary always, even when not using words. I strive to be like Christ, even though it is an impossible goal, I still try to love others and treat everyone as the sons and daughters of God that they are.
