Hi I'm Harrison

I play the violin, enjoy sports and am looking forward to serving a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 14 years-old and have lived my entire life in Colorado. I like camping and the outdoors, and am part of a church-sponsored scout troop. I enjoy sports and am trying out for an entirely new one this year(soccer). I am an avid violin play and have been playing for eight years. I enjoy writing and table-top role playing games along with hanging out with friends, playing video games and running. I am a little shy and will need to be more outgoing as I am going into high school. I am planning on making a career as some kind of engineer, businessman or software designer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been dutifully brought to church for all of my fourteen years. At a very young age, church was all about having fun in primary but as I got older, I understood the need to question and clarify about the truthfulness of this church and through scripture-study and prayer I received it.The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the only true and complete church restored to the earth. It is committed to serving God and doing as Jesus Christ, our redeemer, would do. I am a Mormon because it is the right place to be and has transformed and enhanced my life in so many ways. My many burdens have been lightened, and I am free of future sins and dangers. Jesus Christ did die for us, and now lives today with a real body of flesh and bone. The holy spirit has confirmed the church's truthfulness and its light and warmth, along with his/her guidance and chastisement, have made me the person I am today- and extremely far from perfection- I am more than I ever could have become without it. I am a Mormon, because God is constant, and our teachings teach us that we have modern day revelation. Why would God, our loving father, abandon us in some of the most sinful and wicked times of our entire earthly probation? He would not. I believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost as separate people, I believe in the Bible, I believe in the Book of Mormon and i believe in all revelation from the beginning of time until now. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith and measure up to the teachings of Jesus, every day by asking for strength from God, reading my scriptures and praying constantly for aid. I try to live my faith by obeying the commandments of God and, more specifically, lightening other's burdens. I attend church every week, and am First Counselor in the teachers quorum, and am involved in preparing the sacrament, and usually helping pass it.Mostly, I just endeavor to improve myself every day in every aspect of my life: by repenting, praying, spending time with family, reading scriptures along with improving physically and mentally with sports and school work.
