Hi I'm Jeffrey Stark

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy college student, but I still find time to do the things I love and which are most important to me: music, reading, creative writing, and, of course, going to church. I play the piano, organ, guitar, and cello. The organ is my favorite--it is the most fun to play and is the most versatile. It still amazes me how one instrument can create so many sounds, how one key can play many different pitches! The organ is without a doubt the most profound musical instrument we are blessed to have on earth today. I am an avid reader and will read nearly everything available. If I had to guess, I probably read about thirty to forty books a year, and also enjoy reading the newspaper every day. It was through my love of reading that I began to start writing in elementary school. Now I have written two full-length novels (none of which are published yet, but check back in a few years...).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, so attending the three-hour-long services every Sunday is not out of the ordinary for me. However, I always learn something new or gain new insights when I go. As time goes on I continue to notice the blessings the gospel brings to my life, the most significant being that it makes me happier. I can't imagine what life would be like without the council from a modern-day prophet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every week and doing whatever is asked of me there. I have played both the piano and organ during sacrament meeting. I designed and set up a haunted house for the ward Halloween party. I have spent hundreds of hours volunteering in community service projects. Most of all, I live my faith by willfully following God's commandments. Obedience to commandments such as the Word of Wisdom and the law of tithing have blessed me tremendously.
