Hi I'm Brandon

I've lived my whole life in Pennsylvania. I'm a 9-1-1 police dispatcher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived my whole life in Pennsylvania, and have learned to love my community. I've worked at a local hospital and a local college and spent years as a volunteer firefighter. Now I'm a paid 9-1-1 police dispatcher and am grateful to have a job where I can continue to help those who may be in need. When I'm not working I enjoy reading, camping, hiking, biking, canoeing and target shooting. I also keep a small flock of backyard chickens that provide fresh eggs for my family and benefit my garden. I enjoy learning to fix and improve my humble little house. Above all else I love my family. My wife and I have two young daughters and spending time with them gives me great joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending a small church that left me with more questions than answers. When I stopped attending in my slightly rebellious teenage years I found myself doubting the very existence of God. Eventually I decided to start looking earnestly at different faiths and a young woman I dated admitted to me she was Mormon. I was pleased when her family permitted me to join them on Sunday's at their Ward and met some incredible Missionaries who helped me to learn more about their faith. As I was gaining a better understanding of the faith and Jesus Christ I had some humbling experiences that prompted me to read the scriptures and pray more. In short time I made the decision to be baptized. I have been so blessed I frequently doubt I'm worthy of such blessings - so I try to remain humble and follow Jesus Christ's example as well as I can.

How I live my faith

Often when people dial 9-1-1 I end up speaking with people who are having the worst day of their month, year, or life. While they may be panicked, angry, or hurt, I try my best to be patient and kind to everyone regardless of their circumstance. My job can often be stressful but I enjoy having the opportunity to make a difference when someone's loved one may be having a medical emergency. I take pride in sending firefighters and police where they are needed and doing it well. Outside of work I volunteer my time when I find opportunities to serve others. I strive to live my life in a manor that sets an example for my children to follow. I live in a manor that permits me to donate time and money to worthy causes. I spend time with Missionaries serving in our area trying to teach others about the happiness that I've found being a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
