Hi I'm Bryce Janne

Missionary, Rugby player, country boy, car salesman and Mormon.

About Me

Well I am 23 years old and I was born and raised in Wichita Kansas, and have been LDS my entire life. I love rugby, football, camping, hiking or anything outdoors. I love learning, reading, writing, politics, history, English, and especially religion. I love all types of music, but I especially enjoy Country. I worked as a News Broadcaster and Sports Producer for Entercom Communications in Wichita Kansas, but then moved to Orem Utah when I was 20 and worked for a year as a car salesman at the Larry H. Miller Chevrolet dealership in Provo Utah. However, best of all, I am now serving as a missionary for the church in the California Anaheim Spanish speaking mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My father joined the church about 2 years before I was born and my mother joined a few years before him. I, like most kids born into ANY religion, followed the beliefs of my parents and trusted in their judgement and testimony. I had always been active in the church and very willing to share my beliefs with anyone who asked. However, there came a time in my life when I just couldnt rely on the conviction of others. When I was about 17 I began to drift away from the church. For many reasons that I couldnt begin to explain here, I ended up going completely inactive in the church. I didnt go to church or even pick up a Bible or Book of Mormon for over 3 years. I still had a belief in the church and the Book of Mormon and was willing share it when asked. However, I never truely realized just how far I had drifted from God until I was far enough that I thought I would never make it back. Then one day a friend suggested that I move to Utah. I laughed it off because I loved my job and I saw no point in being inactive in Utah, but the next few days I couldnt stop thinking about it. I applied to a few jobs similar to what I had with no luck. Then I randomly applied to a car dealership and got hired. Im not sure what I was thinking but I accepted and moved to Utah a few days later. Everyone thought I had lost my mind, but on the drive to Utah I had a lot of time to ponder. I decided that if I was going to suddenly change my life like that, I better go big. I decided that I would find out for myself if the church was really true, or not. It was slow at first, but when I truely disected each belief I had to see if it was truely of God or of man, I began to see miracles and blessings I couldnt ignore. I found, through dedicated and consistent reading of the scriptures, with an unbiased mind that the Book of Mormon and Bible are the words of God. I was able to receive a testimony of each point of this church through diligent application of each principle. I KNOW it is true.

How I live my faith

I have served in many different areas in the church both in Kansas and Utah. However, now I am living my faith by serving in every way possible as a fulltime missionary in the California Anaheim Spanish speaking mission.
