Hi I'm Chloe' Sarah Jackson

Live.Laugh.Love. Smile.Dream. Study.Work.Learn. I'm a return missionary, poet, dancer, dreamer, 1 of 6 girls & I'm a Mormon(:

About Me

I converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was nine years old. My mom converted when she was young but eventually fell away from the church in her late teens, so my older sister and I didn't have religion, nor was Jesus a known thing from birth to age eight. But when my family and I moved from one part of California to another, we moved in with my aunt and her family, whom are strong members of the church. That led to my mine and my sister's conversion, and furthermore my mom's re-activation in the church. I'm a proud sister, daughter, niece, grand-daughter, friend and much more. I enjoy spending time at church, with my family, friends, writing poems, taking pictures, editing pictures and videos, drawing, dancing, babysitting, laughing, joking with the people I love, going on adventures, the beach and much MUCH more! I'm a regular girl with trials and struggles, but who choses to embrace them and smile through it all.

Why I am a Mormon

Two missionaries began teaching my older sister and I when I was nine years old. Being young, I didn't understand much of the world, but I understood what was being taught and told. I loved the idea that families could be together forever, that a young boy was chosen to restore the church, and of course that Jesus loves me. My mom had even said that I used to draw pictures of Jesus when I was very young, without even knowing of Him or seeing a picture of Him. When the missionaries asked me to pray and ask of Joseph Smith was a true prophet, I did. I then dreamt a wonderfully glorious dream! For years I had dreamt of a man knocking at my door, having no idea who he was or what he wanted. And then the night I prayed, I dreamt of Him again, realizing He was Christ. I opened the door and spoke with Him, asking Him if Joseph Smith indeed was a true prophet and restored the church to its fullness. He motioned me with His pierced hands to my backyard, which turned into the Sacred Grove. I conversed with the former prophet and he told me all of what he had learned, endured, etc. It ended with a flash of light; the same light that a young fourteen year old boy beheld before meeting the Father and His son, Jesus Christ. A dream did not convert me to the church. What converted me to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the love of God that I felt when I finally sought Him in prayer. He made sure I understood of what the church is and meant. THAT is what converted me. The truth does not lie. I have a testimony of the LDS church. There is much I continue to learn about the church. I will never know or understand everything while I am living on this earth. But I know, as I seek Him and help Him in bringing to pass the work which has been planned and needs to be implemented, I can grow closer to Him and learn more of Him. I can better feel of His love and divine sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is real. Most of all, God lives and loves us all.

How I live my faith

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it. I enjoy smiling and bringing my sunshine with me wherever I go. "When someone has lost their smile, give them yours." I am a firm believer that having the gospel of Jesus Christ in your life, gives you comfort and peace. Your soul is still and content. Your heart is happy and it radiates throughout your spirit. I live my faith through my countenance. I've always been the friend that everyone goes to for help, advice, comfort, a good laugh, or whatever the case may be. I do my best to instill optimism and peace within them. It is essential for our salvation to know that we have purpose and that we matter. When I'm being a friend, a sister, a daughter... I pray for the Holy Spirit to guide me in what I say so I may help Heavenly Father's sons and daughters know that they are loved. We all need a friend to support us and encourage us. We have that friend in Christ. He is our Brother, but also our Savior and our Redeemer. He did more for us than everyone on earth could do combined. I live my faith by being an example. We realize what we know when we speak it. Sharing how I feel about what Jesus Christ does for me, personally, sparks a special feeling within others, but most importantly, helps me recognize that I have a testimony of Christ. I know my Father lives and loves me. And at the end of the day, if that's all I know, I'm joyous. I live my faith by bearing my testimony.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Chloe' Sarah Jackson
We can avoid pornography! If you do it in private, you shouldn't be doing it at all. It is evil. It destroys the person viewing it or apart of it, families, relationships with your significant other, friends, as well as your relationship with Heavenly Father. It objectifies women (especially) as well as men. It detroys the mind, changes everyday habits, how you view life, how you handle different situations, etc. As you continue to view it or be apart of, you become addicted to it. And once you've become addicted and later consumed by it, you become the addiction. It is dangerous. It gives you only a temporary pleasure, whereas a healthy relationship with the people around you and the people you love (and of course the gospel) gives you a long-lasting pleasure. If your desires and pleasures are fictional, it's time to get real. If you have to turn people into things to feel like a man (or woman), then you have serious problems. Pornography will always exist while living on this earth. Seek help and guidance. Seek God and Christ. The Atonement saves us all and exists for a reason. If you make a concious effort and work diligently and seek help from the people who can help, you can be delivered from this sin. Lead by example. Be an example. Live an example. Avoid pornography and its influences. Don't let Satan win! Show more Show less
