Hi I'm Hayden

I'm a home schooled teenage boy, an aspiring rock musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently study at home using the Thomas Jefferson Education method. I also practice guitar and piano. I'm also working on building my own electric guitar. I'm an active member in my Boy Scout troop, and I'm currently working on my Eagle Scout service project. I'm the oldest of 6 children (5 boys, 1 girl).

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. However, that's really not why I'm still a member. A few years ago, I went through a period of time when I seriously doubted the church, and even the existence of God. I wasn't sure if God was really there. If he did exist, what was his attitude toward the earth and humanity? Did he care about any of it? Had he lost interest in his creation? After studying and learning about the nature of the universe, investigating the church beyond what was taught to me in primary, and a lot of prayer, I found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints to be true. I found that God does exist, and that he is still very involved in our lives. Sometimes, it might be difficult to see, but it's through small and simple means that great things are brought to pass. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior, that he died for me, and that he loves me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it is a real record, and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. And lastly, (and probably most importantly), I know that God knows, and loves each and every one of us.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as one of two pianists for the men's group in our ward. I'm very active in my scout troop and the young men's program. I try to help all that I can there. I try to always be a good example, and never be afraid to share my faith (although I'm not always successful).
