Hi I'm Heidi

I'm 20 years of age, I live and grew up in Kiribati, I love to read books and chat with my neighbors, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, My name is Heidi Boraia and I was born on the 14/09/1994. I grew up in a catholic until I came to live with the brother of my grandfather, there I join the Church in 2009. My hobbies are playing badminton, tennis and chatting with others. Not yet married, but plan to get married after my misson. I have received my mission call and I'll be serving in the California Sacramento Mission for 18 month. I look forward to that. I'll be leaving for my misson in this coming September, I'll reach the MTC on October 6. After my mission I plan to continue my education.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I join the Church, my parents always said that it a false Church and I always listen to them. But when I move to live with the brother of my grandfather and from there I was taught by the elders, and find out that it a true Church on Earth. I believe that the Church is true; I know that God live and he love us. For his love, he sends his only begotten son to die for us on a cross. Three years ago, I had a dream. And my dream goes like this, about ten of us, we were walking in a strange place, the sand is almost red, the building is flat roof and there were no people around, we look around and then heard a loud noise. We rush to that place and we saw lots and lots of people. We rush into the crowd of people and then we reach the centre of it. Surprisely I saw a man nailed to the cross. I fall on my knee and cried out loud. The feeling that I felt that time, it like my heart as torn apart. I cried a lots and feel pity for him, but what can I do for him? I testify that Jesus Christ is the Christ and our redeemer and he really died for us so that we can reconcile with God. I believe that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, I love the Church and I’m grateful for being a member. I love the Lord and his Son Jesus Christ and I share this in the name of thy son Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I join the single students ward, Last year I was a first counselor iin the Primary in my ward too.... I love being with kids, the way they talk, singing, and listerning to the teacher. Now I was a young single adult president in my ward. In my calling, I always welcome the class, assign others to paticipate in our class and also I assign others to teach the class. I sometimes teach the class the lesson. It was so fun to teach the youth. Sometimes on Saturday, we do our service project with our youth, after that we had a swim with them. I always love the Church and enjoyed being an LDS member.
