Hi I'm Mitchell

I grew up in Denver, Colorado. I am a student in BYU. I'm serving a mission in California and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Torrance California. MY family moved out to Golden, Colorado a suburb of Denver when I was about 3 years old.I grew up in Golden Colorado since then with my family of mom and dad and four younger brothers and sisters, all younger and totally awesome. 'm really into sports and I've spent a large fraction playing just about any sport you can think and I've enjoyed just about all of them. I've spent a lot of time doing cross country and track and field in high school. Among my other hobbies which were a lot, I was an active member of the scouting community and I managed to earn the highest rank of eagle scout. I love giving service, helping other people and just knowing that I can make a difference in someone else's life. I've been a musician most of my life and I have played the piano for close to 12 years and 8 years of violin. I love playing music and listening to music. Its a great past time of mine. Once I graduated from high school and I started attending college and began my study to become an accountant. I love every minute of it, no matter how boring you think it sounds.

Why I am a Mormon

This is always a difficult question to answer because my family is all Mormon and to not be baptized a Mormon is something that was not going to happen. I'm not sure I understood completely why I was a Mormon when I was first baptized, but now looking back I can't be happier now that I've made the decision to stay faithful to the commandments that God has given each of us to follow. My conversion to this church has been a long, slow process and I'm thankful i was in this church since I was little because I've definitely needed all this time to convert myself to this gospel. The biggest thing that has helped come unto Christ has been the Book of Mormon, it truly testifies of Christ and I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that this book is of God. I know that this gospel and this church has changed my life and made me into the person I am today and without that I would never be able live such the happy, wholesome life that I live right now. There is so much joy and happiness in this gospel. I know that Christ is my redeemer and through him I truly can be healed from my sins and overcome all trials. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and through Christ he brought the fullness of the gospel back to the earth.] This is the true church of God and I invite everyone to find out just like I did.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm actually serving a full-time mission for the church right now going out and sharing the gospel of the Lord and the joy of the fullness of His gospel with everyone I meet, right now in the Ventura, Bakersfield, and Antelope valley California areas, teaching the people there that speak Spanish. I'm really blessed by this opportunity of the Lord and I strive everyday to live up to the name on my nametag right below my own. I have served all my life in this church and in a variety of different groups and with each one I have learned so much and gained so much. Christ's church has really brought out the best in me and those around me. I know that as I continue to be faithful that the Lord will continue to edify me and make it the best person that I can possibly. I know that this church is designed to bring out the best in all of us regardless of whether its physically, intellectually, spiritually, or morally. This church can change your life. If you see some missionaries in your area take the time to listen. You won't regret it.

In whom should we have faith?

Mitchell
The center of our faith should be around our Savior Jesus Christ. We know that man cannot be saved without Christ and his Atonement. When we strive to put our trust in Him and obey His will, the blessings come and we will see the miracles we need in our life. I know that the best way to grow our faith is by doing to the things He has commanded us to do, read the scriptures, attend church meetings, pray daily and live the commandments exactly how He asks us to live them. For all those who want to understand how they can grow their faith in Jesus Christ even more I invite them to read in the Book of Mormon Alma chapters 32-34. These sections really explain faith in our Savior Christ and how we make have more of it in our lives. Show more Show less
