Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Utah, I love to read and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read!! And I love learning new things. I have been going to the University of Utah, but I keep changing my major. I am just a bit undecisive in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I started out as a Mormon, becuse it was what my family believed, but somewhere along the way that changed. Once I left for college, I didn't have to keep going to church or living the same standands. But it was something I did (do) just for me, because I know that it is the right thing to do and I love it. The more I learn of God and His gospel the more I stand in awe of His perfect plan for us. This church is true and I know this with all of my heart. And I know that this gospel has the power to change everyone's life, and bring them closer to God, and guide them home to Him.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith, is like asking how I live my life. I try to follow Christ's example everyday. I study his word diligently every day, then try and live what I learn. For me right now I am sharing this light of mine with all that I can, and spend all my days not thinking of me of my wants, my desires, only what can I do for others, what can I do to further the work of my Father in Heaven.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Rachel
I feel like the word require, is misleading. Sure it is asked of all the young men to serve missions but is not required. And well required sounds like there isn't any choice involved, but there is. It is asked that all young men choose to serve, and well for women, like me it is not asked in the same way, and well for me at least making this choice to serve is even more meaningful. We know that this is God's church, and with this knowledge how can we not shout it from the roof tops? Show more Show less
