Hi I'm Elisabeth

I'm an adventurer, student, musician and missionary. I have an insatiable desire to learn and try new things and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Elisabeth and will be serving a full time mission in Baltimore, Maryland in just a few short months! I am currently attending BYU as a student studying communications and I love it here! School is great and the people are even better. I love to rock climb, hike and go on other outdoors adventures as well as read, study and learn. I'm also a song writer, singer and musician. I play the guitar and ukulele and I am currently attempting to teach myself how to play the piano as well. One of the things I love best is trying new things and discovering new talents. I believe that through practice, desire and the help of the Lord I can do anything I put my mind to and I am always willing to try.

Why I am a Mormon

The church and gospel play such a central roll in my life and bless me with direction and understanding. Without an understanding of it I would not be as happy or fulfilled as I am today. I know that as I study the scriptures I find daily personal application and an answer to the questions I have of my purpose on this earth. The church blesses me with opportunities to serve and look outside myself to those that need His love and support. It makes me selfless and understanding of others and provides me with everything I need to learn and grow as a person. I love the church and I am ready and excited to serve a full-time 18 month mission.

How I live my faith

I do my best to life my faith in my day to day actions. In my daily prayer and scripture study I am blessed with the guidance to do what the Lord desires of me. With those tools I am prepared every day through lessons I learn, trials I face, and joy I experience, to someday return to my Father in Heaven and live with him again as I did before this life. I exercise my faith in my positive outlook and my choice to be happy every day. I know that we choose our attitudes and I would never want to waste my energy or time on choosing to be unhappy. I strive to recognize and appreciate the miracles in my life and show gratitude for the blessings the Lord has given me. I know my Savior lives and I do all that I can to serve him and bring others back to him by sharing the gospel.
