Hi I'm Bonnie Bleu Yardley

I am a teacher, a wife, a mother of 14, a grandmother and I am a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town where everyone knows you and knows what you are doing. So there was not a whole lot you could get away with. I had great friends that were a strength to me and a very close family that did many things together. I love people. In the fifth grade I was in the hospital for ten days and slept a lot. I was so afraid of missing anyone who came to visit, so I made a big sign that said, "If I am a sleep please wake me up." In high school I played tennis and was a cheerleader...Rah! Rah! Rah! I loved life and had so much fun. My parent divorced after my freshman year. After high school I attended college and graduated with an education degree. My mom remarried and then a year later I married. We were both pregnant at the save same time. That was fun. I taught school for three years, then was blessed to stay home and raised my six children. A few years ago my life changed drastically. After twenty years of marriage my husband left. I discovered an inner strenght I did not know I had. I went back to school and renewed my teaching certificate and got a job. I took up running and ran several races, included a marathon. I developed a close relationship with my Heavenly Father and have learned to trust Him completely. Last year I met an incredible man who asked me to marry him. We were married in the temple and are parents to fourteen children and brand new grandparents. I am grateful for all my blessings.

Why I am a Mormon

Even when you are born and raised in the church, everyone must be converted. One must find out for themself if the doctrines of the church are true. I love the peace that I feel of knowing who I am, why I am here, and where I am going after my mission on this life is over. Even in hard times I have inner peace and joy. This great comfort comes from my Heavenly Father as I strive to live righteously. I am a living testimony that if we endure our trials faithfully we will be blessed. Not all blessing will come in this life, but they will come. I am so grateful for my testimony. I am so grateful for a husband who loves His Heavenly Father and who teaches our children how a righteous husband should lead our family. I am grateful for obedient children and even for those who have lost there way temporarily. They have been taught and will find their way back. I am grateful for prayer and l know that Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers. I have learned to trust in His timing and in His anwers. I am grateful for the opportunities the church provides for me and my family to grow spiritually, physically, and intellectually. He loves me and all His children. I am grateful for the knowlege I have that family can be together forever and we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. These and many other reasons are why I am so happy to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Someone once told me being LDS is a life style. You do not just go to church on Sunday, but you live your life everyday as an example of your beliefs. As a family we attend church every week, the whole three hours. I have been a teacher to the primary age children, the youth and am currently teaching lessons to the women. I have also tried to teach my children by example to serve those around us. We try to do a monthly service act for others. We have taken in dinners, done yard work, cleaned houses, babysat, and just visited. Our Savior, Jesus Christ is the greatest example of serving others. This is a great blessing and teaching opportunity for our children. We all make mistakes, that is part of our learning and growning. I am so grateful for my Savior and his atonement. I try to live each day of my life so that I will not have any regrets. Also I want my children to always have an example to follow and to know that no matter what trials we face in life if our Heavenly Father will always there. I know that He lives and loves all his children. He wants us to grow and become like him so all that we go through is for our benefit and refinement. He knows us better than we know ourselves and we must trust Him.
