Hi I'm Suzann

I grew up and live in Southern California. I am a wife of 22 years and a mother of 3 wonderful kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since I was baptized at the age of 9. Since being married and raising a family of three, we have found that being members of the Lord's church has been such a true blessing and a comfort. I have always had a very strong belief in wanting to raise my kids in a home with Christian standards, lots of love, understanding, guidance and safety, just like our Heavenly Father would want. We also decided before getting married that instead of working and having them in childcare, I would be a stay at home mom and I have been very blessed to be able to do that. I know that with my beliefs in the Lord and his church that I have raised my children with a strong belief and love of Christ and with high standards and morals. Not only can they be proud of those qualities, but I know that I am also very proud of them and so is the Lord. I love spending time with my family, but I also like to be outside at the beach or park. I love to walk or run in our neighborhood or spend time reading. I also love to be creative and have done a lot of home crafts and painting. I have also been cooking since I was 12 years old and love to cook and bake for my family and for others.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 9 years old I remember sister missionaries coming to our home and teaching us the first lessons of the gospel and knowing that I did understand what they were teaching. I felt the love of Christ and of my Heavenly Father whenever I was being taught by the missionaries. However, I don't think that I truly understood the full meaning of the church until I was a little older and was able to grow a stronger testimony of the gospel, which I have.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of our current ward for 8 years now and both my husband and I are blessed to have the opportunity to have the calling of Ward Missionaries in our ward. This calling has been such a blessing to the both of us, but I have truly learned so much from this calling. Missionary work is such an important part of this church and of the Lord's work in bringing everyone unto Christ. Without missionary work those people out there who haven't been given the opportunity to hear or learn of Christ might never have that. I want to be able to give everyone I can the greatest gift of their lives, by sharing with them the teaching of Christ through this gospel. In this calling we are able to talk with members who might not be as active in the church as they once were. We want to make sure everyone is getting the chance to hear the gospel and how it can be such a comfort, joy and blessing in their lives.
