Hi I'm Heather

I am a wife and new mother. I love to bake and I hope to do a half marathon one day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have an amazing husband and adorable little boy. I love my family and friends and making people happy. I graduated with a degree in Public Health and love helping people make healthy lifestyle choices. I enjoy running and doing things outside. I am also a huge fan of trying new recipes - especially baked goods! My son and I are currently the support crew while my husband goes through medical school. We are enjoying our many adventures as a young family!

Why I am a Mormon

Life is hard. It is full of trials and full of many decisions. I have found the greatest peace and hope in my life through living the principles taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I feel that I have been guided throughout my life to become who I am today. When I have had hard times, it is the loving reassurance from the holy ghost that reminds me my Heavenly Father loves me and cares about my well being. He wants me to be happy and to succeed! I am so grateful for those reassurances. I feel great happiness as I try to understand how God wants me to live and then strive to live accordingly.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ influences all my actions - in my home, in church, and in my community. I have the wonderful opportunity to serve the young women (girls ages 12-18) in my congregation by helping plan activities, teach gospel lessons, and help the other leaders as needed. I love helping each girl feel loved - by me and by our Heavenly Father. I am inspired by their potential for good and love trying to help them become all they can be. I also have the blessing of serving other women as a visiting teacher. I get to help new mothers by providing meals or child care, help families with finding a job or transportation, or more especially - just being a friend! I also organize a play group for moms with small children to get together during the week to socialize and play. I strive to share the love and light of Christ with all those I come in contact with.
