Hi I'm Lydia

I was born and raised in California, but later moved to Missouri. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California like my siblings and parents. Because of the struggling economy, my Dad was laid-off, but offered another job all the way in Missouri. My sister and I were optimistic about a new ward and new school. My family and I later discovered that the church is the same where ever you go. We were received with open arms into our new ward and new neighborhood. The schools were a little different, but we were able to manage and make new friends. My interests include playing the piano and reading. I love going to performances to see other people share their talents. I am still a high school student, but I already love planning about my future. I also love my family and love doing activities with them.

Why I am a Mormon

My Bedstemor and Bedstefar met the missionaries in their homeland, Denmark. They soon converted and moved to the United States. My mother's parents were later met by the missionaries as well in the United States and converted when my mother was seven. Thus I was born into the church. I was taught all about the gospel in my childhood and I later came to find that this church is true by myself.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward by going to church and youth activities and I also try to help in service projects too. I love going to church and being taught more about our gospel.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Lydia
No, Mormons are not required to serve a mission. It is encouraged that they do, however, because we want them to teach other people about the gospel. The Savior taught about this in Matthew 28:19. Show more Show less
