Hi I'm Travis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love play sports, soccer has to be my favorite sport. When i was in high-school, during my Sophomore and Junior year, my soccer team was back to back district and regional champions. I am an Eagle Scout. Scouting has been a blessing in my life, scouting and the gospel of the church really tie in together so well it is amazing. I am a manager at a quick-serve restaurant chain, Chick-fil-A. I have worked there for over two and a half years. I have recently been called to serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I am so excited to preach the gospel to all the people in my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I have been blessed to grow up with the gospel in my life. To have such an amazing father who has set such an amazing example to me serving a full time mission in Brazil and honoring his priesthood everyday. You really can tell that there is love at home with the gospel in your home. I would like to share my testimony, I know this church is true. I know that as we continue to read and study the scriptures that we will increase our personal knowledge and testimony of the Savior and His gospel. I have a strong testimony on prayer, I KNOW with all my heart that the Lord answers our prayers! Yeah, sometimes it isn't right after you pray. It might even be awhile. But i know that prayers are answered. About a year ago I got on my knees and poured my heart out praying about a mission. My prayer was answered by my stake president that next sunday when he came to my church and talked about serving a mission, he felt an inspiration and needed to come to my ward and give that talk. About 3 months ago i received my mission call, what a blessing this will be to me, my family and all those whose lives and spirit I will touch. These past few months have not only been a blessing, but also a strong motivator to me to be obedient to the Lord. I walk with a constant prayer in my heart that I will be led by the Spirit that i can teach and testify with converting power. In John 4:35-36 it says 'Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.." I know that when I leave for my mission that the Spirit will guide me. I KNOW the Book of Mormon is TRUE!! I have read it and prayed about its truthfulness. The feelings I get when i pray about the Book of Mormon are indescribable. I'll leave these things with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. I challenge you to read the Book of Mormon and pray to Heavenly Father and ask if these things are true. (Moroni 10:3-5)

How I live my faith

Right now, I am preparing myself to go on a full-time mission. The Lord has given me so much, this is my time to show to Him my love for him! Reading the Scriptures daily, gaining a stronger testimony of that which I read. Recently I went through the Oakland Temple in California with my dad and grandma, the Spirit you feel in the house of the Lord is so strong. The closest place on Earth to Him. Such an amazing feeling to experience
