Hi I'm Becca

I grew up in Washington. I love history, reading, dancing and shopping. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Washington State but I moved to Utah in 5 years ago. I just graduated with my B.A. in History. I currently work at a financial planning firm. I have been married to my husband for 4 1/2 years. We got married in the Salt Lake City temple. We don't have any children. One of my favorite things to do is travel. I love experiencing new places and cultures. I have many other hobbies that include dancing, reading, baking, and shopping!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with parents who were active members of the church. They taught me the gospel when I was young. I am so grateful that they did. Even though I grew up in the church, I knew that it was also important to gain my own testimony and find out for myself that the gospel was true. A few years ago I made some poor choices and I became unhappy. I realized that I wanted a change in my life and so I committed myself to build a stronger testimony. When I made some of those changes, I could see that my life was getting better. The most important thing during trials is to have hope and faith. For me, it was hope in the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is our savior. I have a firm testimony that Christ atoned for our sins and made it possible to live with our Father in Heaven again. I know that through the prophet Joseph Smith He restored His gospel to this earth and that there is a living prophet on the earth today. I have a testimony in the power of prayer and that no matter what situation you find yourself in, you can always have that feeling of peace and comfort that comes from personal communication with our Heavenly Father. I know that the church is true. I know that families can be forever and I am so grateful that I get to be with my family forever. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

One of the ways that I participate in my local congregation is through volunteer service. Currently, I am on a committee that plans and implements activities for the women of the congregation. I have held this position for a few months and it has been rewarding to see the women come and be uplifted and fellow-shipped at theses events. In past I have taught primary children and participated (as a teenager) in the youth programs.
