Hi I'm Corynne

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a writer... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family defines me. Everything I am and do is intricately tied to them. My husband and our three children (plus an angel daughter-in-law) are my best friends and we love being together! As a professional, I telecommute from my home office and travel for team meetings every three or four weeks. I started working from home after the birth of our second child. Gratefully my boss realized that he was never in the office... so why did I need to be in the office?! I've managed this arrangement for almost 20 years... with the help of a good husband, and bright young nannies when the kids were young. My degree is in Journalism and my work involves corporate communications and promoting new internal initiatives. I also enjoy the adventures of travel, the beauty of music, and capturing all of our family experiences in photographs.

Why I am a Mormon

The simple answer is because I know the gospel is true! I can't share everything precious to me about the gospel in 2000 characters, but I'll try to hit the highlights. :-) God is our Heavenly Father and loves us... and knows us as individuals. What father doesn't love his children and want the best for them? Jesus Christ is our elder brother and Savior. Because of his glorious Atonement, we are blessed not only through his matchless redeeming power, but his enabling power which heals the hurts and strengthens me to tackle life's daily challenges. Born into a Mormon home, I gained my own testimony at an early age. The sweet companionship of the Holy Ghost (the third member of the Godhead) continues to confirm truth to me and guide me in my daily challenges. The Book of Mormon is a remarkable book. You cannot read its chapters without feeling a powerful witness of its truthfulness. Because I know the Book of Mormon is true... all other principles of the gospel contained within its pages are also true. Joseph Smith, the prophet of the restoration, saw what he said he saw in 1820... and did not deny it. We still have (and need!) living prophets on the earth to guide us. There is life beyond mortality... with our families by our side throughout the eternities. I cannot imagine it any other way.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel is a beautiful and satisfying way of life. After traveling for work, I'm always grateful to come home. It is more than just coming home to a family that I love... but coming home to an extended family of people who love and serve one another. I can't wait to greet everyone during our Sunday meetings, and enjoy taking my turn teaching lessons once a month. I leave our meetings on Sunday strengthened for another week. I always remind my kids not to ever let their choices or actions "dim their light." By living the teachings of the gospel, we are able to feel the promptings of the Holy Ghost in our lives to guide and direct all of our choices.... and gratefully we are surrounded by good people who help us do just that.
