Hi I'm Mallory

I'm a college student studying social work and Spanish. I love to spend time with my family and try new things. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am attending college studying social work and Spanish. I enjoy being outdoors doing things such as boating, wakeboarding, camping, dirtbiking, snowboarding, hiking, and spending time with my family. I have a large extended family and value our close relationships. I enjoy cooking and trying new things. My favorite scripture story is about the army of Helaman, and I hope that someday I can teach my children to have faith like those stripling warriors did. I grew up in an active family, and I love the great blessings the gospel brings into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

When I think about the gospel, I can't help but be so grateful for everything it has done for me. Through experience and prayer I have gained a testimony of it, and I know that keeping God's commandments is the only way we can truly be happy and find peace in our lives. When I am going through trials or having difficulties I know that Heavenly Father can send the Holy Ghost to bring me comfort and direct me. I have a testimony that through the priesthood which was restored upon the earth, our families can be sealed together for time and all eternity. I know that the scriptures are truly the word of God and that if we follow their teachings, we will be blessed. I'm a Mormon because I know it is God's true church upon the earth today, and because I know that He can make more out of my life than I could ever make for myself. I need his help and his direction in my life. I have gained a personal testimony that this is His work, and I want to share it with others so that they can receive all of the blessings that God holds in store for all those that love him.

How I live my faith

I currently attend a singles branch. I play the piano in meetings while hymns are sung. I have a visiting teaching calling to visit sisters in the branch each month. It is important that each member of the branch feels important and valued. We visit the members to make sure their needs are being met. We offer our time and services to help them with anything they might need, temporally or spiritually. As a youth I served on several committees in the organization of youth activities, and I also had the privilege of serving in various presidencies as a member of the youth groups. I also try to live my faith in my family. Each week we have family home evening. We spend that time learning gospel principles and spending valuable time with each other. We strengthen our testimonies as a family because we believe that our family will be together forever if we live righteously. The most important thing I try to do to live my faith is simply be an example. I look for opportunities to share my testimony with others whether it be through word or action. The gospel brings such joy into my life, and I want to share that with everyone I meet.
