Hi I'm C.J.

I'm from Rexburg, Idaho. I am a runner. I love basketball and football. Being a missionary rocks. I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Rexburg, Idaho and lived there my whole life. I have won a state championship in cross country. I am an Eagle Scout. I love watching football and basketball(BYU and the Miami Heat).

Why I am a Mormon

The Church has really made a huge impact because it basically has told me how to live my life so that I can be a better person and live a better life. I have chosen to be a member of the Church because we are led by a man who has been called of God to lead us and to guide us in troubled times. This Gospel is True.

How I live my faith

I was raised in the church but wasn't actively involved in it growing up. I just went because it was a family thing that my parents were dragging me to. I thought it was a waist of time growing up until it came to my senior year in High School. I was on the cross country team and we worked hard that year and we were excited to go to state as district champions. Over that weekend two of our teamates came down with the Swine Flu and it was tough to hear about that. As the week went on they got better and were able to go to State. The night before the race one of my teamates shared a scripture in The Book of Mormon that had a really huge impact on what had occured that week. The scripture is Alma 26:27 which says that when we feel like giving up, the Lord is encouraging us to keep going and he will give us success. The next day we did win the state championship and that scripture really helped me with my decision to serve a mission and something that I will never forget. I am currently serving a mission in Colorado Springs, Colorado and it is by far the best experience that I have been a part of.
