Hi I'm Kyler

I grew up in Southern Utah, I'm a student, a rockclimber, a flyfisher and an alround out doors lover. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being out doors. Some of my favorite activities include rockclimbing, snowboarding, canyonearing, hunting, flyfishing, playing sports, or just anything you can do outside. Gowing up in southern Utah how can you not love being out doors? Currently I'm serving as a missionary for the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I love it. When I return home I plan on persuing a career in medicine. I always wanted to be a surgeon.

Why I am a Mormon

As a kid growing up and through High School my family was active in the Church. I got to a point where I asked my self if I really beleaved all that my parents had taught me. For me it came down to the Book of Mormon. I thought if the Book of Mormon is true then the rest must be true. So I followed the advice found in Moroni 10:3-5. I wouldn' t say that I had a real "Aha!" moment, but as I read pondered and prayed about the Book of Mormon the holy ghost testified to me that it was true.

How I live my faith

To me living the faith is simple. I strive to become more like the savior. I do my best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Meaning that I recognize that I'm not perfect, but I know that as I live the principles that Christ taught while he was on the earth that I can be come a little better each day. I also try to help others live so they can bcome better each day through Jesus Christ.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Kyler
The authorized servants of god have always been the only ones who could perform ordinances of salvation. If some baptizes without having the proper authority it is as if they were an ice-cream man pulling over someone to give them a traffic ticket. It just doesn't work, and it has no validity.
