Hi I'm Patrick

I enjoy sports, games, laughing, and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North Carolina, Raleigh Mission. I love basketball and other sports. I've worked on a cattle ranch and have had a year of college at Brigham Young University prior to my mission. I plan on majoring in Mechanical Engineering, possibly with the intention of specializing in Nuclear Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because of the joy it brings to my life now and because of the joy that I know can come in the next life. I know that God, my Heavenly Father, loves me more than I can ever understand while on this earth, and I know that He created a plan, a beautiful plan where I and all who choose can return to live with him and our families for all eternity and forever happiness and joy. Despite having lost a younger brother, I know that I will be able to see him again if I do my best to follow our Savior Jesus Christ and do the things that God has asked us to do in order to return and be mercifully saved. I know that Jesus Christ performed the atonement out of pure and everlasting love so that we, as others of God's children, can all have the opportunity of Eternal Life. Temporally though, I receive so many blessings from being a member of this church each day of my life. I wouldn't trade my relationships with my parents and my brothers for anything in the world. I love them so much. The peace, comfort, and direction that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life through its teachings and the Holy Spirit are irreplacable. I wouldn't ever want to live a different life besides the one that the gospel brings me.

How I live my faith

Right now, I live my faith by donating 2 years of my life to the service of my God in order to bring others of His children to the knowledge of His glorious plan, so that they, too, can have the hope, happiness, and understanding that I have. It's the most important message that anyone could share or have. I constantly strive to become more like my Savior. He expects so little of us in return for what He has done for us. I strive to be an "example of the believers" in everything I say and do. My faith is what matters most to me, and it dictates completely the way I live. I want to be a son in which my Father in Heaven can be well pleased.
