Hi I'm Lexie

I grew up moving from place to place. Cold cereal and ice cream are two of my favorite things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up moving around a lot. I thought never living anywhere longer than three years was such a curse, but looking back... it was fun. I now go to Brigham Young University and have lived in Provo longer than I have lived anywhere else in my life! I am a math education major, which sounds really intense. Unfortunately I am NOT one of those people that just "gets" math, or someone who seems like they were born understanding calculus. I am hoping that after fighting, and failing, my way through a lot of math I can help others who might feel like they will never be able to "get" it. My favorite days are they days when I get to sleep in past the alarm and then lay in bed thinking about what to eat for breakfast. If i could only pick one food to eat for the rest of my life it would be cold cereal. Hands down. Love love love it. I also love movies and ice cream, even better when they come together. Rainy days are my favorite. In my free time I love running, eating, dancing, playing the piano and guitar, singing, doing things that make me laugh, and checking off random bucket list items. I don't think I have anything in specific that I would say is my hobby... I tend to dabble in a lot of different things, not master any of them, and just enjoy it depending on who I'm with.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I live and love to have hope. Hope, for me, is knowing everything is going to not be just okay but be really good, no matter what. When I feel hopeful and peaceful I know that whatever it comes from must be right and will make me happy. So, i try and follow those feelings; that without fail, always lead me to believe in and follow Jesus Christ. So if a Mormon is someone who belongs to THE Church of Jesus Christ, and if the Mormon church is really His church; then the church will have His teachings, and the Mormons will live according to His example, and they will have His hope. The hope that only He can give, because it is only His to give. Then in that case, being a Mormon is how and where I can follow Him best, because it is actually His church. His teachings and His example are how I try and live my life and His hope is real! I can only say that I know that because I ask God, consistently, for His opinion. And He always answers me. By giving me hope and peace, I know what I'm doing must be right.

How I live my faith

Well... I am writing this part later so currently how I live my faith is by giving up of a year and a half of my life from school, friends, and family to serve a full time mission. I will be in Phoenix Arizona working as hard as I can to bring the people there to know of how much God loves them and invite them to come unto Christ, to receive of the peace and joy that comes from it! It is so much greater than even I understand and I am so excited to share that message of hope with others.
