Hi I'm Kirsty Jubber

I grew up in South Africa. I love traveling. I love the beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho majoring in wildlife biology. I love nature, and science, and learning more about the creations of God. I grew up in the beautiful land of South Africa. My family loves the outdoors, and you can always find us either snorkeling at the beach or hiking, and adventuring in the mountains. I love animals, and one day wish to be a biologist where I can be involved in wildlife conservation. I have traveled to Germany and Switzerland, and I lived in England for a year. I now live in America. I love learning about new cultures, and identifying similarities and differences between them. I hope that I may get the opportunity to travel more, and to see more of this beautiful world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who taught me the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I have grown up, I have had my own experiences which have helped me gain a testimony of Jesus Christ and of His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Why am I Mormon? Because I know that it is only by following the teachings of Jesus Christ, which includes baptism, receiving of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end that I can find true happiness in this life. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and that through him we can be clean, and live with him and our Father in Heaven once more. I am not a perfect person and I have made many mistakes in my life, but it is through the power of the Atonement of Christ that I have been able to repent and be forgiven of past sins. I have learned that despite what the world may think of me, I am a daughter of God. I have amazing potential within me. I have a purpose here on this earth, and I am slowly coming to understand what that purpose is. I do not have all the answers to the decisions I have to make in life, but I do have a knowledge that as I put my faith and trust in God, he will guide me down the path he wishes me to take. I know that we have been given agency, and with that agency we can choose to follow God, or to follow Satan. We will be held accountable for the choices that we make, and will be judged according to them at the second coming of Jesus Christ. I have a testimony of the love, mercy, forgiveness and compassion of our Savior Jesus Christ. Never will He abandon us. Never will He forsake us. He will, as we allow Him, guide us through any obstacle that we may face.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is more than simply attending my church meetings on Sundays. Living my faith is something I do by small and simple acts every day; by means of daily prayer, daily scripture study, and by acts of service to those around me. I seek for opportunities to help and bless the lives of friends, family, and strangers. I live my faith by believing that God knows all, and that as I trust Him He will bless me with what I need. I live my faith by paying tithing to the church, and by fasting at least once a month, that is- going without food for 24 hours- as a witness to God that I have dedicated my life to Him.
