Hi I'm Austin Fulton

I am a student at the University of Utah. I love the outdoors, comedy, traveling, music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Murray, UT and grew up in West Jordan, UT. I am a Sophomore at the University of Utah where I am preparing to enter the business school. I have recently returned from serving in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission where I had the privilege of seeing people change through living the gospel. This experience changed my life and reminded me how relevant the gospel is to each of us. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, hiking to the perfect overlook of the Salt Lake Valley and anything that makes me laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and I have been given a strong understanding and appreciation for what our Savior has done for us. Being a member of the LDS church can seem difficult at times but every day I see how following gods commandments has and will continue to bless my life. I have a testimony that God lives and that he would love nothing more than for his children to return to his presence. I have a testimony in his son, Jesus Christ. I know that he came down to this Earth to give man a chance at exaltation. I have a strong testimony of the Holy Ghost. Throughout my life I have made some bad decisions and some really great ones. I know that the Holy Ghost has always steered me toward the right ones. I know that this is the Christs true Church restored to the Latter-Days because it has what all others are missing, the holy priesthood and a modern day prophet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to treat others as I would like to be treated. I attend church weekly to help me stay closer to god and to make sure I partake of the sacrament and I find music to be the perfect way to expand my faith in Christ. I almost never pass up an opportunity to be in a choir whether in be for my local church or for singing for the entire church in general conference. I also live my faith by following the commandments God handed Moses in the Old Testament. Along with new commandments and guidance given by modern day Prophets.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Austin Fulton
After the death of Christs Apostles his priesthood authority left the earth. Without this authority the Church no longer functioned as Christ has established it. Some of the truth remained while much of it was lost due to people who genuinely loved Jesus Christ who without the guidance and authority Christ and The Apostles had, gradual changes were made. Joseph Smiths first vision was the beginning of the restoration of Christs original church to this earth. Show more Show less
