Hi I'm Jackie

I'm a pianist. I'm a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, I spend most of my time taking care of a cute baby and supporting my husband as he works towards a master's degree in trombone performance. I also teach piano lessons and work as a free-lance pianist. I served an LDS mission in Budapest, Hungary and am fluent in Hungarian. I like running, spending time with friends and family, and working hard.

Why I am a Mormon

I think faith is very important. It means a lot to know what is right and wrong in a world full of confusion and shifting values. I have felt God's love in my life and feel peace when I pray. I know that God will help me when I try to live the way He wants me to. With Him all things are possible. I'm a Mormon because living high standards has brought me great happiness. And I know I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I believe that through music we can come closer to God. Every Sunday, I play the piano in the Primary at church. Primary is a children's class where the kids learn about Jesus Christ, play games, and sing songs. I also accompany the church choir for my ward. Occasionally I get to play the organ for sacrament meeting services. In our church we don't pay musicians for their time, but I enjoy using my talents and abilities to bless the lives of my brothers and sisters.
