Hi I'm Rosalind

I was named after a Shakespeare character, and, go figure, majored in English. I'm fascinated by folk art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite thing to do is to be with my family, which includes my parents, my six siblings, my four siblings-in-law, and many adorable nieces and nephews! I also like doing family history, watching movies, playing games, dancing, singing, being with friends, and lots of other things. I have a bachelor's degree in English, a job as a certified nursing assistant, and plans to go to graduate school in public health as soon as I come home from a mission to Australia. Life always seems to be blind corners for me -- I never know what's coming next! -- but it is also good. My faith grounds me and gives me the confidence that "all things work together for good to those who love God" (Romans 8:28).

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, but my activity in the Church is my decision. I chose to accept the doctrines of the Church because I can see what the Church does for the lives of those who truly accept it. Jesus said, "By their fruits ye shall know them" (Matthew 7:20; see verses 16-20), and not only does the Church reach out to bless communities and the world where ever it can, but it blesses families and individuals. As I have tried to live the doctrines of Christ, great peace has come into my family and into my heart, and I have started to understand what Paul meant when he talked about the "peace of God, which passeth all understanding" (Philippians 4:7).

How I live my faith

One of my favorite things I've been able to do is to teach Sunday School to the kids turning five and help in the nursery. Little kids are the best! I love their energy, their sweetness, and their surprising insights. Various other assignments within the Church have given me the opportunity to work with or alongside those in nearly every stage of life. I've met so many fun, kind, talented people in the Church! Currently I work with new members and investigators to the Church and help answer their questions. I will also be going on a proselyting mission to Perth, Australia, from August 2015 to February 2017.
