Hi I'm Amy Gordon Sedgwick

I grew up in Sandy, Utah. I am a massage therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am very interested in alternative ways of health. Being a massage therapist, I have been exposed to a lot of new ideas. My motto in life is to follow the admonition of Paul: to believe all things, hope all thing....I embrace truth where ever I can find it.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born and raised in the Church being from Utah. I am the product of several generations of mormons. My ancestors accepted the restored Gospel in England back in the 1800's and migrated to Utah. Some were part of the tragic Martin hand cart company. When I was a teenager I read the Book of Mormon for the first time on my own. The spirit witnessed to me the truthfulness of that book, that Christ truly did appear to the people here on the American Continent and organized His church here as He did in the old world. It was at this time I also received my testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith. He taught that the Book of Mormon is the key stone of our religion and that a man can become closer to God by following by its precepts than any other book on earth. I testify that this is true. It is the perfect companion to the Bible. It is truly another witness of Jesus Christ. He was and is literally the Son of the Most High God, He is the Savior of the world and He did truly atone for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemene, died on the cross at Calvary and then showed that we can overcome death through His resurrection. His is the only name by which we can return to the Father. It is by His holy example we must follow. He taught by example simple truths: the need to be baptized by authority, to partake of the Sacrament, to show love to our God by loving and serving our fellow men and the need to call upon the Father and trust in Him in every thing we do in this life. The Church of Jesus Christ is the only church that I know of that teaches that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are 2 separate beings. This is the only way it makes sense to me. In the bible it is shown that the god head are 3 separate beings. We embrace the family and its importance in this life because that is how we view our Heavenly Father and Christ as part of an eternal family. I leave this testimony with you in the name of my Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As I mentioned earlier I embrace all truth where ever it can be found. All Truth emanates from heaven and is of God. I also strive to serve my fellow man in everything I do and say. I have the amazing opportunity to serve in the Young Women's presidency in my area. I have the opportunity everyday to teach and guide these young women and help them to become acquainted with our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. This generation is truly being faced with a lot of adversity and I am so blessed to help them find a solution to many of life's problems. I also sing. I love to sing praises to my God.
