Hi I'm Dickson Cheuk Yin Ng

I grew up in Hong Kong. Currently serving a full-time mission in England. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the eldest son of my parents. I have a younger brother. I did two years of college in England. I was doing science subjects (physics, chemistry, biology and maths). I am a classical pianist, organist, and classical music fan. I love watching football matches. I also like reading books about science and psychology. I like learning different skills.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a LDS family. My family members are all members of the church. My parents brought me to church since I was born. I got baptized at 8. When I was young I thought going to church was just a noraml routine and I had a lot of fun with the other kids. I didn't really seriously consider some questions like "Who am I?", "Is there any God", "Is the Book of Mormon really the words of God?", "Has God organised His church nowadays?", "Does God speak to us today through prophets?" etc. When I was a teenage I started to consider these things and followed the invitation of the Book of Mormon: to pray about the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph Smith. Heavenly Fahter answered my prayer one night by the strong and warm feeling of the Holy Ghost. My mind became clear and a still small voice whispered to me: the Book of Mormon is true and Joseph Smith was the true prophet of God. I know Heavenly Father lives and I feel that it is a great blessing to be a member of the church. I wish everyone can have the chance to feel it too.

How I live my faith

I was raised in the church and I had received callings like quorum president and ward pianist/organist. I attend church meetings every Sunday and sometimes ward or stake activities. I am now a young single adult and graduated from four years of seminary and completed one year of institute of religion. I am enjoying my time in serving as a missionary for the church.
