Hi I'm Naomi

I love to laugh, I live to smile, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up on a small dairy farm where I learned to work hard and get dirty (even though I don't always like to!) I love to laugh and smile and try to help others feel better. I love to express myself through music and try to share it with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but didn't really see the need for faith until I moved away for college. I learned that you cannot be happy without the Savior. I am super independent and so I never wanted to rely on someone that I couldn't see. However, as I humbled myself to turn to the Lord in prayer, I realized that life was a lot better when I included God. This is why I choose to live the gospel. I know that it brings such peace, joy, and strength as I try by best to abide to live the teachings of the Savior.

How I live my faith

Last summer, I ran my first marathon. I trained and trained and so I thought I pretty much knew what to expect. I was wrong! :) It was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated. I believe that faith is much like a marathon. We all want to make it to the finish line, but we have to sweat, cry, and work hard. I try to always remember that even though life can get rough, there is a finish line, and that my Heavenly Father wants me to cross it. I try to share with others that Jesus Christ is their greatest fan and support. The greatest joy I feel comes from seeing other people's lives change as they come to see the hand of Christ in their "marathon." Faith is the thing that gets us to the finish line, even after our bodies and minds are spent. When Icome again into the arms or my Savior at the finish line, I will be grateful that I kept trying my best to run, even though I couldn't see the finish line, or sometimes even see the Savior on the sidelines. I know that as I look back on my race, I will see that He was there running alongside my the entire time.
