Hi I'm Ashling

I'm Chinese. I love learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing violin and piano. I like learning new instruments and playing to myself. I love to read, especially fiction, but also good nonfiction books. There is nothing like a good book to pass the day. I love learning about different places and their cultures. I love to travel and take pictures. And I love watching movies that has a good message.

Why I am a Mormon

Why? Because I'm who am I because of it. Without my religion, I would be someone I wished I was not. This religion not only brought peace and security to my life, but also hope for the future, knowing that I "can do all things through Christ." It has given me perspective of who I am and who I can become. It has helped me to go out of my box and look outward to serve others. The programs, meetings, and activities of the Church and lifted my life.

How I live my faith

I'm a missionary for the Church in the Oakland/San Francisco Mission, speaking Mandarin Chinese. I help others to know about this church and how the gospel of Jesus Christ can change their lives for the better. I also participate in community service projects here in the Bay Area. It's wonderful.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Ashling
The best way, is to try. If everyone tells you this cake tastes Really good, the only way you can Know if it tastes really good is to cut a piece and try it out. Same with this religion. I've seen it improve the quality of my life, as have millions of others, but the only way YOU can know is if you try. So attend a church meeting, read the Book of Mormon, pray to God and ask Him in faith if Mormonism can help you. Then live so that you are worthy to receive an answer. I promise He will answer you. I've tried it, and I know it's true. Come and try for yourself. Show more Show less
