Hi I'm John

I have been married to my wonderful wife since 1970. We have 6 children and 16 grandchildren.

About Me

I retired from the military and have spent much of the time since then helping our children and other family members with home improvement projects. My wife and I are currently remodeling our own home. We love to have our grandchildren come to visit. It is easier to spoil them at our house! I just finished refurbishing a bicycle with one of our grandsons. I am thankful to have the time and talents to help our children with home improvement projects. I'm grateful to be blessed with such a wonderful family.

Why I am a Mormon

Life has taught me that I am the happiest when I am making a concerted effort to obey God's commandments to the best of my abilities. Jesus has set the example of how to live and it is great to have a guide to help us in our journey. My testimony is that we can overcome our past transgressions through Christ's atoning sacrifice and that it is available to all men and women.

How I live my faith

We attend our meetings on a regular basis taking the opportunity to partake of the sacrament. We are blessed to teach a class of 9 year old boys and girls. The young ones today are so smart and learn very quickly. The children's energy and zest for life makes me feel younger. We try to be good neighbors and are surrounded by very good people all around.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

John
Throughout the ages God has provided inspired leaders to guide people to his true teachings. I believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and that He inspires men and women who lead his people today. Show more Show less
